Custom AppMVPStripe

Swapski

A bespoke service-exchange marketplace with Stripe payments, built from scratch — where a traditional agency would quote 12–16 weeks.

Swapski — Custom Web Application (MVP)

The challenge

Service-exchange platforms sound simple until you model the logic: two parties, two services, asymmetric value, and a payment mechanism to settle the difference. Classifieds tools don't handle it. Marketplace templates don't handle it. And building it the traditional way — spec, design, build, test in sequence — adds weeks a founder burning pre-launch runway can't afford. Swapski needed a senior architecture decision, a clean build, and deployment to production. Not a prototype — a platform.

What we did

Discovery & architecture

Defined the core flows — list a service, match a trade partner, agree a top-up, complete the transaction — and chose a stack that scales without over-engineering an MVP.

Full-stack build

A Next.js/TypeScript app with authentication, listing management, a service-matching flow and admin tooling on a PostgreSQL backend, deployed to cloud.

Stripe integration

A payment top-up flow so users settle value differences with real money — the non-negotiable core of the product, built right on the first pass.

Admin panel

Tooling so the founder can see listings, users and transactions without touching the database.

Tech used

Next.js · TypeScript · Bun · PostgreSQL · Stripe · Vercel/Railway

Core from day one

AI-assisted code generation — reviewed by a senior developer throughout — moved us through boilerplate fast so senior time went to the decisions that matter: data model, payment logic, user flow.

“Trisec made the hard architecture calls and shipped a real product, fast. Stripe worked perfectly from day one.”
Adam Crane — Founder, Swapski

What this shows about Trisec

The hardest category of project: novel logic, no template to lean on, and a founder who needs speed without sacrificing correctness. The speed came from AI-assisted workflow on the parts that can be accelerated; the quality came from senior judgement on the parts that can't.
